Why clinics price per graft
The work in a hair transplant scales with the number of follicles moved. Each graft is extracted, checked, stored and implanted by hand. Pricing per graft lets you see exactly what you are paying for, rather than a flat package that may include fewer grafts than you need.
How many grafts will you need?
Hair loss in men is graded on the Norwood scale.

These are guides. The actual graft count is decided after measuring the bald area and checking your donor density.
What else affects the total
- Donor quality. Thick, dense donor hair covers more area per graft.
- Hair type. Curly or wavy hair gives more visual coverage than straight, fine hair.
- Sessions. Very large areas may be split into two sessions, 9–12 months apart.
- Medical treatment. Medicines or PRP to protect existing hair are separate costs.

- Is the procedure done in a sterile setup with a doctor present throughout?

Common questions
What is a graft?
A graft is one follicular unit: a natural group of 1–4 hairs that grow together from the scalp. 2,000 grafts usually contain about 4,000–4,500 hairs.
Is a cheaper per-graft price always better?
No. What matters is how many grafts survive and grow, how natural the hairline looks and how carefully the donor area is used. A cheap transplant with poor survival costs more in the end.
