What changes the price
1. Number of areas. The lower abdomen alone is a smaller operation than the abdomen, flanks, back and arms. More areas mean longer theatre time and anaesthesia.
2. Volume of fat. Removing more fat takes longer and may need an overnight stay for monitoring. For safety, very large volumes are split into two sessions.
3. Technique. HD or six-pack liposuction involves layered sculpting and takes longer than standard liposuction. Power-assisted liposuction for fibrous areas (male chest, back) adds equipment cost.
4. Anaesthesia. Small areas like the chin can be done under local anaesthesia with sedation. Most body areas need general or spinal anaesthesia given by an anaesthetist.
5. Hospital stay. Most patients go home the same day. An overnight stay adds room and nursing charges.
6. Extras. Pre-operative blood tests, an ECG, take-home medicines and the compression garment (worn for 4–6 weeks) are part of the total cost. Ask whether your quote includes them.
How to compare quotes
When you compare liposuction prices between clinics, check:
- Who operates? An MCh or DNB plastic surgeon, or someone else?
- Where? A hospital with an ICU, or a clinic room?
- Who gives anaesthesia? A qualified anaesthetist should.
- What's included? Tests, garment, stay, follow-up visits.
- How many areas? A low price for "liposuction" may mean one small area.
A very low quote often leaves out the anaesthetist, the garment or the stay, or treats only one small area.
When liposuction isn't the best value

Common questions
Is liposuction cheaper in Ranchi than in Delhi or Kolkata?
Surgeon fees vary in every city. The bigger difference is the total cost: patients who travel pay for flights or trains, hotels and repeat trips for follow-up. Having surgery in Ranchi removes those costs.
Can I pay in instalments?
Ask at the consultation about the payment options available. Many patients use bank or credit-card EMI schemes for elective surgery.
